First of all, you want be swift with your answers and answer the question that was asked. I find a lot of people don’t actually answer the question that was asked, this is really bad. I do two things occasionally on an interview, I write the questions I am asked on a piece of paper and explain what I’m doing. I will ask the interviewer to repeat the question if needed. Be careful of using words to stall, like “Ummm”, “Ahhh” and so on. Do not repeat the same words “Like”, “You know” and other little words you habitually use. Now you want to concentrate on a swift answer, one thing you know they are going to ask you about is prior experiences, you want to prepare for this by thinking of a few scenario’s prior to the interviews. If you can’t think of anything, make something up on the fly. I don’t promote lying, but I feel if it portrays how you would react in a given situation, I think its ok.
Answering questions on an interview

(1 votes, average: 5 out of 5)The importance of asking questions on an interview

(1 votes, average: 5 out of 5)Asking questions on an interview are very important. Most importantly it shows your true interest in the job, you’re not just looking to work anywhere, you want to be sure you have the right job. The employer will appreciate this; they do not want to waste their time and money in a person that will leave for the next best job. Now, asking the right questions is just as important. They are going to want you to answer questions for them; this is the point of an interview of course. Try asking this before you start answering questions “What qualities do your most successful employee’s posses?” or “What qualities would the ideal candidate for this job have?” or even simpler “What kind of person are you looking for in this role?”. You will also want to ask at least one closing question, here are some examples. “What shifts would be available?” “Are there a lot of opportunities for advancement?” “What is the dress code?” However, if you can be specific to the role, your better off.
